Facility for Rare Isotope Beams

A one-of-a-kind facility researching the fundamentals of rare isotopes. Utilizing a linear particle accelerator, scientists and engineers are determining the origins of stars, treating cancer, and strengthening national security. 

• Space is limited! The first 50 participants to sign up will get an in-person tour of the facility.

• If you miss the cutoff, the next-door planetarium has a virtual tour that covers even more of the facility.

Brewing Labs and Pilot Plant

MSU has a runaway favorite molecule. We bet you can guess what it is. Come see how it's made and the process of scaling up reactors with a tour of our brewing labs!

• Must be 21+ on the day of the tour.

• Bring your brains and your taste buds - try some samples!
